DOWN UNDER BALL 2015

The fourth annual Aussie Down Under Charity Ball - 2015 held on April 18th at Moscow’s Radisson Royal Hotel - Ukraina was a phenomenal success!

The hotel’s opulent interiors immediately set the mood for an unprecedented evening; while the ballroom and the evening’s program, peppered with distinctive Aussie attributes like projections of leaping kangaroo across the walls, added the finishing Aussie touches.

Guest of honor this year was Australian boxing legend Kostya Tzu and his wife Tanya. Kostya generously provided prizes for the charity lottery and auction. Also attending the evening, in support of BBBS Russia was the director of BBBS Australia - Sherilyn Hanson.

Gabe, the Aussie cowboy was in fine form as always, showing his MC-ing and auctioneering prowess as well as performing classic Australian rock with renowned Aussie musician David Peachey.

The menu touted succulent Australian lamb, proudly supplied by MLA.

The evening’s refreshments were kindly provided by ROUST RUSSIA & PEPSICO

Amongst the multitude of prizes on offer; the charity raffle displayed the traditional Lotus BBQ grill by Kostya Tzu, the ‘Ultimate Aussie Survival Pack’, comprising a Techni-Ice cooler box from ALDI, full of Aussie goodies, 2 pairs of genuine Aussie Blundstone boots from CODE 7. A weekend retreat package from Radisson Blu ‘The Mega Dining Package’ – from Chicago Prime, Orange Tree, Hudson Bar, Papa’s Place and Pancho Villa.  Alcohol baskets from Roust Russia.  One week football training camp certificates from the British Football School.

While the auction offered: a one week stay at a skiing Chalet in Vale Colorado, 2 Aboriginal paintings a boomerang and a sparring session with Kostya.

Breaking last year’s record once again, the evening raised 3,7 million rubles for "BBBS Russia" – Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program helps Russia’s forgotten children to assimilate social skills and responsibilities, preparing them for adulthood.
